Hello my Darlings. As you know I muscle test my animals including what brand of biscuits they receive. I now include a recipe from my sister for what the naturopath/homeopath was suggesting they use for their dog. This will give you more information into the full raw possibilities! Sounds like very good advice, especially with a weakened ill animal. Go well, Love bless you, happy testing! Inanga.

Here is the recipe our dog naturopath/homeopath gave us when we first got Chiron and she was exceedingly sick.
Chiron lived on a raw diet her whole life once she was with us - and was exceptionally healthy!
Biscuits as you mention are not good. Actually they are more than that - they are cooked and processed grains, usually of an extremely poor quality, low protein left over from agriculture, sometimes diseased or with fungus, and can be extremely toxic to pets. Most people don't realise but most pet illnesses are a result of eating cooked grains in biscuits.
Carnivorous animals eat the gut contents first, then the meat and bone. So here is what our naturopath recommended and what we did for Chiron.
To imitate the contents of the gut:
Juice carrots, celery, spinach, greens other veg etc (very little or preferably no fruit).
You drink the juice, and the animal gets the pulp.
I used to do this once a week and put the pulp in a big bowl to mix and then portion off little bags for the weeks feeding. Will last a week in the fridge ok.
To the pulp add the following (or muscle test as required) - remember trying to mimic what nutrients would be in an animals gut - about a tablespoon of each depending upon a mount of juice fiber left over (this is going from memory so I may have missed some ingredients)
- slippery elm
- brewers yeast
- cod liver oil
- olive oil cold pressed
- kelp
- apple cider vinegar
Mix together very well.
When serving,, mix in with a tablespoon of unsweetened good yoghurt for probiotics.
A big dog of Chiron's size should get about a cup a day - so adjust accordingly.
Chiron hated it to start off with, so I mixed it in with sardines as well to get her used to it. Otherwise could use raw meat blood, or cut up tiny bits of fish or flesh to mix in so they have to eat all of it.
She was given the mix first, then her meat, then a few chicken necks to clean the small teeth every day, and then a large bone every few days to clean the large teeth.
